The awesomeness of randomness

Two interesting sites about randomness..

The first is a site of static photographs trolled from throughout the internet (here).

The second is random video chatting site called ChatRoullet - interesting article about it here.

What is it about watching strangers that keeps us so captivated?

"Shit (his) Dad Says" - hilarious and true

here's the story: the son's name is Justin. "I'm 29. I live with my 74-year-old dad. He is awesome. I just write down shit that he says." Some highlights:

""Don't mess with him...Trust me, you don't fuck with a man that sleeps next to a woman he never screws. They're unpredictable."

"Fine, let’s take a vote. Who wants fish for dinner?...Yeah, democracy ain’t so fun when it fucks you, huh?”

"No, I'm not a pessimist. At some point the world shits on everybody. Pretending it ain't shit makes you an idiot, not an optimist."

“Yes I got him a gift. He had a kidney stone. You piss a rock through your pecker, you deserve more than just a pat on the fucking back."

“We’re banned from the dog park. Well, I guess it’s okay to hump, and it’s okay to bark, but both at the same time freaks people out."

Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers - Really Good

Super nice mix. Some parts are less Beatles than others, but it all works together and compliment the Wu very well...

From the NYTimes Interview with the artist: “Uzi (Pinky Ring)” has got a lot of samples on it. There’s “Glass Onion,” then it went to an Arif Mardin version of “Glass Onion,” then when Ghostface comes in it goes to “Getting Better,” then RZA comes in and it’s a Ramsey Lewis version of “Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey.” Then Inspectah Deck comes in and it’s a cover version of “Hey, Jude.” Then Method Man comes in and that’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” And then GZA’s at the end, and that’s “Why Don’t We Do It In the Road.” I’ve seen on blogs, somebody say something like, I’ve only heard two Beatles samples that I recognized in here. And to me that’s quite a good thing – you have to listen extra hard to hear them. I was purposeful not to take “Love Me Do” and put Wu-Tang with it
